Ira-Nupur Wedding: Aamir Khan’s daughter Ayra Khan is going to get married on January 3. Ayra will have a court marriage with her boyfriend Nupur Shikhare. Before this, their wedding rituals have started. Today was the couple’s Haldi ceremony and now tomorrow both will officially become each other. Ayra Khan’s aunt and Aamir Khan’s sister Nikhat Khan Hegde have also given some updates regarding Ayra Khan’s marriage.
In an interview given to ETimes, Nikhat Khan Hegde said- ‘Today we took Mehndi to Nupur’s house. We did the mehendi ceremony. We all decided to wear Navari with a big nose ring and we were completely dressed in Maharashtrian clothes. Apart from this, Nikhat also revealed some things about music and told how he and his family are busy in its preparations.

Nikhat said- ‘We are practicing and preparing for the song on the dhol, which we are planning to sing tomorrow. It will be a casual sangeet, we will play dhol and sing all the wedding songs. Aamir is also learning to sing. However, only women will sing songs for the wedding. Our family has come from Banaras, Lucknow and Delhi. Reena’s side family has also come from Delhi and Punjab.
These functions will be held in Udaipur
Nikhat also talked about Ayra and Nupur’s wedding functions being organized in Udaipur. He said- ‘The planning of Udaipur is completely for Ira and Nupur’s friends and we are going with them. There we will arrange sangeet and mehendi, but there will not be a Maharashtrian style wedding. This is just a registered marriage.
